Everyone knows employees need to track time so they can be paid accurately, but freelancers and entrepreneurs may not realize that they should be tracking their time too. Time is an entrepreneur’s most valuable resource and so it’s important to allocate it wisely. Time tracking can help entrepreneurs and freelancers do just that.

The difference between an entrepreneur who succeeds and one who doesn’t is often in the planning process. To get your startup off to a good start, you should create a step by step business plan. Think of a business plan as a road map. This road map will help you maintain your focus as you work as well as prove to investors that your business is a great idea.
There are plenty of templates which outline the most common business plan steps but, unfortunately, these don’t take your unique needs into consideration. There is no one size fits all solution when it comes to preparing a great business plan. Use the following seven steps as the framework for your business plan.

The landscape of the modern-day workplace has evolved over the years. There is less gender-bias now than in the past and so women have more opportunity in business. According to The 2017 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report by American Express, 43 percent of all U.S. businesses with 50 to 99 employees are run by women. Like their male counterparts, these empowered female entrepreneurs must secure funding to get their business idea up and running. The good news, however, is that women entrepreneurs often have an easier time at raising capital than men for many reasons.

Entrepreneurs are well known as passionate and proactive professionals who are able to put business ideas into practice. This is a talent not everyone possesses, just like writing is a talent not all entrepreneurs possess. It is, however, a very important skill to master. Entrepreneurs can be so much more effective when they learn to express their ideas and passions in writing.
These are some of my favorite quotes that inspire me every time I read them. In my effort to verify the source of the quotes, I linked to a few interesting pages that delve into the meaning of the quote or otherwise showcase the person quoted.
If you’ve got a startup or you’re starting up a startup, you’ve already got a great product worth selling. You are probably working hard to promote it too. The basic to-do list is in the bag, but there are a lot of details that only experience and the wisdom of others can teach you. Here are some things I’ve learned from our CEO and other business owners about the challenges of running a small business.
Running a small business and taking it to new heights can be challenging. Delegating tasks to employees and staying on top of expenses is overwhelming, especially while running an SMB. There is hope. Making use of business tools will get your business on the right track and give you enough boost to accelerate its growth in no time!
Working from home has become an increasingly more viable option in recent years. Yet many don’t realize that there are valuable tax breaks that come with owning a home business. If you’re thinking of starting your own business and are considering doing it from home, here are four tips to consider:
When most people think of a small business, we think of the little mom and pop shops in our neighborhoods – the small coffee shops and restaurants nobody’s every heard of. We think of the specialty shops and high end stores that struggle to compete with the multinational retail corporations. We think of startups with 5 or 6 employees and local businesses providing everyday services.
Most business owners dream big when they start their businesses. They dream of competing in the market, providing a great product or service, and making a great living. And so they dream of the day when they finally have the funds to hire. Hiring means growth and growth is the path towards these dreams.
