Our system offers three types of messaging options, each with its own separate functionality.
Memos are one-way, private notes managers can write directly to a specific user. A typical memo might read “Good work Yesterday” or “Please enter your time-off request before the weekend”. The user sees the memo upon login. Users can dismiss a memo once it’s been read, but all previous memos are saved in the memo history. Memos are access for individual users at the top of the timesheets.
Announcements are messages that can be scheduled in advance and displayed to the entire user base when users login. A company might use this feature to remind all employees to electronically sign their timesheets or notice of an upcoming holiday.Users see announcements as banners at the top of the screen upon log in. Announcements are accessed via the Tools page.
Brags and Breakthroughs are messages that any user can save to the company’s public bulletin board. They can be sorted and starred. This feature is turned on by default in the Company Settings. When enabled, the Brags and Breakthroughs feature is visible at the top of the dashboard. Users see the feature at the top of their timesheet.
